2D CAD Technician

About the Role
Casado Design, part of ZenaTech Inc., is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented 2D CAD Technician to join our growing team.
You will work closely with colleagues and project teams to produce, update and maintain accurate 2D technical drawings.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and comfortable working in a professional technical environment. Previous practical CAD experience is required, but we also value attention to detail, technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
What You’ll Do
- Produce and amend 2D CAD drawings from sketches, specifications and project information
- Update drawings following internal or client feedback
- Check drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness
- Maintain organised drawing files and version control
- Follow company drawing standards and quality procedures
- Liaise with colleagues, clients and project stakeholders
- Manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines
- Provide general technical and project support when required

What We’re Looking For
- Previous practical experience with 2D CAD
- Experience in a professional office or technical environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- A reliable, organised and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility
Nice to Have
- Experience in CAD, draughting, architecture, engineering, construction, design or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD LT
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp
- Experience reading or producing technical drawings
- A relevant technical qualification
