Hours: 18.75 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | 52 weeks

Role Purpose

We're looking for a 2nd Line IT Service Desk Site Engineer to join our growing IT team, providing expert technical support across a busy and dynamic environment. Based primarily at a site in Huddersfield, you'll play a key role in ensuring systems, devices, networks, and cloud services operate efficiently, helping colleagues stay connected and productive every day.

As a 2nd Line IT Service Desk Site Engineer, you'll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, supporting users both onsite and remotely, and acting as an escalation point for the wider support team. You'll work closely with colleagues across IT to improve services, implement new technologies, and contribute to projects that enhance the user experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on support role and wants to further develop their technical expertise while working alongside experienced infrastructure, applications, and service desk professionals.

What you will be doing

  • Resolve 2nd line IT incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for Service Desk Engineers and support sites across the organisation.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Google Workspace.
  • Support server, network, cloud, telephony, and cyber security environments.
  • Configure and deploy laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and other hardware.
  • Manage devices through Microsoft Intune and/or Jamf.
  • Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes, and contribute to service improvements.
  • Assist with IT projects, technology rollouts, and maintenance of technical documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
