2nd Line Support Engineer
Plymouth
GBP45,000
Our client is seeking a strong 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their growing internal IT function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys providing high-quality support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services across a busy organisation.
Working as part of a collaborative IT team, you'll provide 2nd line support to end users, maintain core infrastructure, and play a key role in ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line IT support to end users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and resolve support tickets efficiently.
- Support Microsoft 365 and user administration.
- Assist with device deployment and user onboarding.
- Work with third-party suppliers when required.
- Contribute to IT projects and system improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation and best practices.
- Help ensure systems remain secure and reliable.

Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of 2nd Line IT Experience
- TCP/IP Networking and DNS
- Powershell Scripting
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Windows 11
- Office 365 Suite
- Hardware and Printer Support
- Troubleshooting
Desirable Skills Include
- Hyper-V
- Cisco Networking
- SQL Server
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
