Barker Ross are currently recruiting for an experienced 3.5T Van Driver to join a busy and well-established client based in Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for ongoing, full-time work, excellent pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
The Role
You will be completing multi-drop deliveries across Exeter and the surrounding areas, providing a reliable and professional service to customers.
You won't be thrown straight in at the deep end. When you first start, you'll have a chance to learn the role, routes and delivery process, with your workload initially kept at around 6-10 drops per day.
As you become more confident and familiar with the job, the number of deliveries will gradually increase. Experienced drivers can eventually expect to complete approximately 30-50 drops per day, with busier periods during peak times of the month.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Multi-drop deliveries across Exeter and surrounding areas
- Starting with approximately 6-10 drops while learning the role
- Gradually building up to 30-50 drops per day as you become established
- Loading and unloading your vehicle
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Managing delivery paperwork and records accurately
- Providing a professional and friendly service
- Working independently and managing your delivery schedule

- £15.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday - no weekend work
- Working hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm

What We're Looking For:
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous 3.5T van driving or multi-drop delivery experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DR, DD, IN or TT99 endorsements
- Physically fit and comfortable with loading and unloading
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Someone available to start immediately
