About The Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced 360 excavator operator for a contract role on a major commercial and leisure development in the Carlisle area.
Working alongside an established main contractor, you will be operating a 360 machine to assist with groundworks, drainage, and structural earthworks across the site. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent hours on a fast-paced commercial job.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating a 360 excavator (above and below 10 tonnes) to carry out deep drainage, trenching, foundations, and muck shifts.
- Assisting groundworkers and site teams with precision digging, grading, and material distribution.
- Unloading and moving heavy site materials in line with site management plans.
- Conducting daily plant inspections, recording pre-use checks, and maintaining the machine to a high standard.
- Adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols, including pedestrian segregation zones and safe working loads.

Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Card for 360 Excavator (Tracked, Above and Below 10t).
- Proven experience operating a 360 excavator on commercial construction or civil engineering projects.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A proactive, safety-conscious work ethic and excellent punctuality.
- Based in or easily commutable to the Carlisle area.
