Locum Physio – Start May 2018
Sirona Medical is looking for a locum Neuro Physiotherapist to cover a role located in Suffolk, this position is located in a very historical Medieval town in the South East of England. This a 6 to 8 week locum role which could be extended later into 2018 so a great opportunity for the right candidate. The hourly rate is brilliant and our client will accept a part time (4 days per week) or a full time locum (5 days per week).
Role
- To cover Physiotherapy duties in a Brain Injury Physiotherapy Unit
- To cover day services (if referred)
- To cover outpatients (if referred)
- To work with volunteers / junior members of staff to facilitate service development
You may work alone or in a team alongside health and/or social care professionals. Depending on where you work, this could include occupational therapists, GPs, health visitors, district nurses, and social workers. You may supervise the work of support workers such as physiotherapy assistants.
Essential
- HCPC Membership
- Range of clinical experience in different settings including Neuro, Rehab, and Brain Injury Physiotherapy.
- Clinical experience in adaptive rehabilitation / goal setting / discharge planning
- Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary Therapy Team
- Ability to work under pressure and be patient-centred
- Life skills – gentle, resilient, patient advocate, good time management, flexible
- Personality and outlook is key.
Desirable
- CSP Membership
- Clinical experience in Neurology
- Experience working with therapy assistants / volunteers
- Personality and outlook is key.
