3D Artist - Vehicles Team

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a 3D Artist - Vehicles Team based in United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to create highly detailed, optimized, and game-ready vehicle assets for immersive simulation environments. You will transform photographs, videos, technical documentation, and other references into accurate 3D models that combine visual fidelity with strong in-game performance. Working alongside experienced artists and developers, you will contribute to bringing complex aircraft and mechanical systems to life. Your work will span modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, optimization, and asset integration. The position is well suited to a detail-oriented artist who enjoys solving technical challenges and working independently while contributing to a collaborative production team. It also provides an opportunity to deepen your expertise in simulation, aviation, and real-time 3D development.

Accountabilities

  • Create detailed, accurate, and optimized 3D models of aircraft, vehicles, and their components using photographs, videos, technical documentation, and other reference materials.
  • Develop high-quality textures and materials using industry-standard tools and established texturing workflows.
  • Rig and animate complex mechanical systems and moving components, including landing gear, control surfaces, doors, and similar assemblies.
  • Optimize assets for real-time performance while maintaining a high level of visual quality, including creating appropriate levels of detail (LODs) and efficient UV layouts.
  • Collaborate with artists and developers to identify and resolve issues related to asset integration, export processes, and 3D pipelines.
  • Follow established production workflows, naming conventions, technical standards, and asset requirements to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Translate complex real-world structures into accurate digital assets while balancing technical constraints with artistic quality.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvements across modeling, texturing, rigging, and export workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
