Do you love turning a blank page or loose brief into something people want to look at?
Is your portfolio full of creative, polished 3D work that you're genuinely proud of?
Are you hungry to grow, experiment and bring fresh ideas to exciting brands?

The Company

ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client exclusively, Melita POS. They are a Leicester-based retail design and manufacturing business creating standout displays and experiences for some of the biggest brands across retail and FMCG.
From the first creative idea through to seeing the finished product in store, Melita brings design, manufacturing and installation together under one roof.
As the business continues to grow, we're looking for a creative and ambitious 3D Designer to join the team and help bring the next generation of retail concepts to life.

  • Design for real-world retail environments and point-of-sale, creating concepts that look great and work brilliantly.
  • Develop ideas from initial concept through to polished, finished designs.
  • Create visuals for client projects, pitches and new business opportunities.
  • Bring creative thinking to a wide variety of brands, projects and challenges.
  • Work alongside design, production and account management teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Produce artwork alongside your 3D design work.
  • Manage your own projects and deadlines while juggling multiple creative briefs.
  • Take feedback positively and use it to make your designs even better.
  • Stay curious, keep learning and explore new software, tools and creative approaches.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You as the 3D Designer

  • Have around 1-4 years' professional 3D design experience, but we're more interested in your portfolio, creativity and attitude than counting the years.
  • Your portfolio shows refined, high-quality finished work and demonstrates genuine creative thinking.
  • You love design and get excited about turning ideas into something tangible.
  • Confident taking a loose brief and running with it rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do.
  • Naturally curious, hungry to learn and keen to develop your skills.
  • Open to feedback, resilient when ideas need changing and adaptable when priorities shift.
  • A great team player who communicates well and takes ownership of your work.
  • Interested in how creative ideas translate into real products, spaces and retail environments.
  • Experience in POS, retail, exhibition, interiors, product design, packaging or a similar creative environment would be great, but we're open to different backgrounds.
  • Experience with materials or manufacturing would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
  • Comfortable learning new software and tools. We're not tied to a particular package and will invest in the right technology for the right person.
  • An interest in cosmetics, health, FMCG or electronics would be a bonus.
