Role Description
As a 3D Generalist at Gray3d, you will work full time in a remote capacity to create and refine 3D assets for our games, including environments, props, and characters. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Modeling in Blender
- Applying textures in Substance Painter
- Ensuring everything is game-ready for Unreal Engine
- Collaborating with designers and developers to implement assets into the game engine
- Ensuring visual consistency
- Optimizing models for performance
- Iterating on feedback
- Troubleshooting technical issues in the asset pipeline
- Contributing to the overall look and feel of the game

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with Blender for 3D modeling and asset creation
- Familiar with how to use Substance Painter
- Understanding of game art pipelines and optimization for real-time engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal) is beneficial
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate using online tools
- Experience contributing to game projects, portfolios demonstrating 3D work, and familiarity with version control or asset management tools are advantageous
- Clear communication skills and openness to feedback, with a willingness to iterate and improve assets
