Location: London (hybrid: typically 2 days on-site; opportunities to work from Croydon/London area and possible moves towards Corsham/Farnborough based on project needs)

Duration: 3 month initial + extensions

Clearance: SC preferred / eligible candidates

We're hiring for a reputed client who provides shared legal services across central government. This is a hands-on, small-team role where you'll help build, run and improve cloud infrastructure, balancing project work with dependable 3rd line support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (IaaS-first, with exposure to SaaS/PaaS as needed)
  • Provide 3rd line infrastructure support for cloud and on-premises services and business applications
  • Support ongoing business projects—configuring and rolling out environments across multiple Azure setups
  • Use strong change practice to deliver updates safely (and confidently) under tight SLA/OLA expectations
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, including applying existing knowledge to unfamiliar systems when required
  • Gather and analyse technical information to determine service impact, risks, and appropriate next steps
  • Prepare and deliver management briefings with clear, logical updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Bring

  • ITIL Foundation Level qualification and proven experience delivering dependable service in a support environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS/SaaS/PaaS) and cloud computing fundamentals
  • Strong technical grounding across Microsoft 365 and identity/services such as Active Directory and AAD
  • Familiarity with key infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux, and cloud backup solutions
  • Understanding of networking principles and the ability to work with service risks and impacts
  • Experience working to ISO/IEC 27001 standards
  • Clear communication skills—able to explain complex technical topics simply, and present concise updates
  • A logical, rational problem-solving approach with the confidence to work through complexity
