3rd Line Support Engineer (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop) – direct path to Consultancy & Solution Architecture!
A 3rd Line Support Engineer (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop) is required by a growing Microsoft Partner investing heavily in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer looking to move into Consultancy or Solution Architecture while working with enterprise Microsoft environments.
The role
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you'll provide senior support across two key customer environments, resolving complex issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.
- Work closely with Project and Consultancy teams as new Microsoft environments transition into managed support.

The role is predominantly home-based with occasional customer visits. If you're local, you'll spend 1-2 days per week in the Hertfordshire office for collaboration, mentoring and technical development. Experienced remote candidates across the UK are also encouraged to apply.
You'll need
- Experience as a 3rd Line Support Engineer within an MSP or enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
- 3rd Line support experience of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex Azure and Microsoft infrastructure issues.
- Experience acting as the technical escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Engineers while working directly with customers.
- Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience would be beneficial.
