Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Recovery Truck Driver to join our team, to drive our twin deck 7.5T vehicles. The work entails collection of end of life vehicles to be brought to one of our depots.
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with recovery trucks.
Responsibilities
As a Recovery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting end of life vehicles from various locations, within the local Essex area, back to one of our deports.

- Operate recovery lorries safely and efficiently to transport Vehicles to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload end of life vehicles, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the transportation process.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence covering 7.5 ton, Class 2 or Class 1
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with recovery vehicles
- Previous delivery driver experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
