7.5t Home Delivery Driver Bristol, Avonmouth

£19.31 per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay) + Overtime Available

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting for a 7.5t Home Delivery Driver to join a well-known client based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for a 7.5t Home Delivery Driver to join a successful multinational organisation offering long-term work, career progression, and excellent earning potential.

Role Overview

As a 7.5t Home Delivery Driver, you will work alongside a Drivers Mate to deliver large household goods to residential properties. The items you will be delivering include TVs, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, and other bulky products. Due to the nature of the role, you must be physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items.

The company provides a 'room of choice' delivery service, and full training will be provided to ensure you can carry out deliveries safely and professionally.

Requirements

Following a successful application, all new 7.5t Home Delivery Driver employees will complete a driving assessment and a multiple-choice Highway Code and tachograph test. This is followed by a mandatory induction day before starting work.

The client operates seven days a week, and you will be offered a weekly rota of either five or six shifts. Weekend work is required as part of the role.

Shifts begin at 6:00am and typically last between 8 and 10 hours.

Please note they also have 8am starts and 10am starts.

Pay Rates

  • £19.31 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
  • Overtime rate of £22.97 per hour
  • £1.50 per hour pay incentive within the rate above, capped at 48 hours per week

Please note that drug and alcohol testing may be carried out at any time at the client's discretion. A drug test will also be completed during the assessment process.

Applicants must hold:

  • A valid UK 7.5t (Category C1) driving licence
  • A valid Driver CPC qualification
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • No DD, DR, or IN driving convictions

Ideal Candidate

The ideal 7.5t Home Delivery Driver will be:

  • Reliable, punctual, and well organised
  • A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods throughout the day
  • In possession of their own steel toe cap safety boots and high-visibility vest
