General Manager: Neighbourhood Team (Guildford, Waverley & Surrey Heath)

As the General Manager: Neighbourhood Team (Guildford, Waverley & Surrey Heath), you will provide strategic and operational leadership for integrated adult mental health services within a neighbourhood-based model of care. You will be responsible for ensuring services are safe, effective, person-centred and aligned with local and national priorities, while driving service improvement, performance, quality and innovation.

Working closely with clinical leaders, GPs, social care partners, people with lived experience and wider stakeholders, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health care, develop strong partnerships across the system and support the ongoing transformation of services.

The role requires an experienced, values-driven leader with a strong background in adult mental health, change management, workforce leadership and financial stewardship.

You will play a key role in shaping and evaluating new models of care, improving outcomes for local communities, reducing health inequalities and ensuring that services remain accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of the people they serve.

If you are invited for the interview, as part of the interview process there are psychometric assessments to be completed before the interview (remotely). On the day, you will complete an in-tray exercise before the interview.

To discuss this role, please contact Rama Shrestha.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
