Are you passionate about Biology and keen to inspire the next generation of scientists, healthcare professionals and STEM specialists?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Science department and help shape the future workforce in science, healthcare and research. You'll teach across a range of academic and vocational programmes, supporting learners to achieve their ambitions and progress to university, apprenticeships and employment.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Biology and related science programmes
  • Teach primarily on A Level Biology, GCSE Biology and BTEC Applied Science programmes
  • Support learners to achieve excellent academic outcomes and progress to their chosen destination
  • Develop engaging learning resources and practical activities that bring scientific concepts to life
  • Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and support
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities
  • Promote safe working practices within laboratory and classroom environments
  • Support learners to develop an understanding of careers and opportunities within the science sector

What we're looking for:

  • A degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology and wider scientific concepts
  • Experience teaching, training or mentoring learners in an educational or workplace setting
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
