Role Description
The A-level Law Tutor will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned online lessons to A-level students, helping them build strong subject knowledge and exam skills in Law. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Planning and preparing lessons
- Explaining complex legal concepts clearly
- Supporting students with essay writing and case analysis
- Providing constructive feedback on homework and exam practice
- Tracking student progress
- Adjusting teaching approaches to individual needs
- Communicating with students and, where appropriate, parents or guardians about goals and performance

This is a part-time, remote role, offering flexible scheduling within agreed hours and requiring reliable online presence and professional conduct in all sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Law (e.g., degree in Law or related discipline) and thorough understanding of A-level Law syllabus and exam requirements.
- Demonstrated teaching or tutoring experience, particularly with A-level or similar qualifications, and ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, accessible way.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to support students with legal essay structure, argumentation, and use of legal authorities.
- Ability to plan lessons, manage time effectively, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities.
- Comfort and proficiency with online teaching tools, stable internet connection, and ability to maintain an engaging virtual classroom environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a learner-focused approach, with commitment to promoting confidence, critical thinking, and academic integrity.
- Experience with UK education system and exam boards (e.g., AQA, OCR, EdExcel) is highly beneficial.
- Relevant teaching certifications or tutoring training, and appropriate background checks as required for working with young people.
