£15,388 - £26,895 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) 22.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday Fixed Term to provide cover
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A Level Lecturer in Physics to join our A Levels team.
You will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and develop their confidence, knowledge, and enthusiasm for Physics. You will plan and deliver lessons, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback and appropriate academic support.
As part of the role, you will also teach the Mechanics content within the first year of the A Level Mathematics specification, currently delivered through one lesson per week.
You will work collaboratively with the Subject Leader and wider curriculum team, contributing to curriculum development, quality improvement, and the wider student experience.
About You
You will be highly motivated and student-focused, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy Physics.
You will have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Physics or a closely related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge, including the ability to teach Mechanics within A Level Mathematics.
- Experience of teaching or delivering learning to groups.
- A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one.
- A commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
- Experience of teaching Physics at A Level or within a post-16 environment would be advantageous.
