This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be an important point of contact for individuals, families, colleagues and partner organisations. If you’re looking for an opportunity to use your administrative skills within a meaningful NHS service, we’d love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
As an AACCC Assistant, you will provide efficient, sensitive and individual-focused administrative support to the AACCC service, working within the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and Children and Young People’s Continuing Care.

Key responsibilities will include coordinating and booking patient reviews, managing the team email inbox, distributing correspondence promptly and ensuring relevant information reaches the appropriate colleagues.
You will develop effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including NHS colleagues, local authorities and care providers, helping to support a coordinated and high-quality service.
Working both independently and as part of the wider business administration team, you will organise and prioritise your workload, follow agreed processes and use your initiative to meet changing deadlines and service requirements.
You will handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately at all times, maintaining accurate administrative processes and contributing positively and flexibly to the effective running of the AACCC service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
