Our Commercial Early Talent programme offers two pathways in either our Therapeutics division or our Allergan Aesthetics division.
Both are designed to give you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work, learn from experienced colleagues, and gain exposure to different areas of the business from day one. The programme's are designed to accelerate your development, build your industry knowledge, and prepare you for a successful commercial career in AbbVie.
You'll join us in September 2027 on a two-year fixed-term contract, employed through our third-party recruitment partner, SRG.
Therapeutics Pathway
Our Therapeutics business is focused on innovative medicines across immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and other areas of unmet need.
Programme highlights:
Year 1:
You'll begin your journey in one of the following commercial areas:
- Marketing: Support campaigns, product launches, and customer communications while learning how healthcare brands are positioned and grown.
- Customer Excellence: Use data, insight, and digital channels to help improve customer experiences and support business performance.
- Market Access: Learn how medicines reach patients by exploring healthcare systems, NHS policy, and access to treatment.
- Location: You must be able to commute to our Maidenhead office.
Year 2:
You'll join our field team in a location to be confirmed in the UK:
- In-Field Sales: Build relationships with healthcare professionals across your region while developing your commercial skills and knowledge of the healthcare industry.

Please note that flexibility regarding location may be required as part of the sales rotation in Year 2.
Aesthetics Pathway
Our Allergan Aesthetics business is where we believe in the remarkable impact confidence can have for our customers, and their patients.
Programme highlights:
Year 1 or 2:
- PR & Communications: Support media, social media, and communications activity while developing your storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Marketing & Allergan Medical Institute (AMI): Help deliver marketing campaigns and educational initiatives that engage and support aesthetic professionals.
- Business Excellence: Use data and insight to support planning, reporting, and decision-making across the business.
- International Marketing and Commercial Operations: Help bring global marketing strategies to life, working with teams across different countries to support campaigns, communications, and brand growth.
- In-field Sales: Build relationships with clinics and healthcare professionals while developing commercial skills in the aesthetics industry.
Location: You must be able to commute to our Marlow Office.
Please note that flexibility regarding location may be required as part of the sales rotation.
Qualifications
What you'll need: Whichever path you choose, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate that they are:

- A degree (any discipline) or equivalent experience.
- A full UK driving license by the start of the programme in September 2027.
