About the Opportunity
The Talent Pool from Hansel - https://www.hansel.group/ - is a specialist job-matching platform connecting high-quality ACA trainees and part-qualified accountants with accountancy firms across the UK.
We work with candidates who have gained valuable training and audit experience within established accountancy firms and have been exited from their previous training contract due to exam-policy or redundancy only. Unfortunately if neither of those circumstances apply to you, then you will not fall within our current eligibility criteria.
We are currently supporting a number of accountancy firms looking to hire Audit Trainees, Account Semi-Seniors and Part-Qualified Accountants at a range of levels.

The Role
Depending on your level of experience and the requirements of the hiring firm, you may be involved in a range of audit and accountancy activities, including:
- Assisting with the planning and completion of audit assignments
- Preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation
- Performing audit testing across a range of financial statement areas
- Obtaining and analysing financial information and supporting evidence
- Identifying and investigating discrepancies or unusual items
- Preparing accounts and other financial information where relevant to the role
- Working directly with clients and supporting the wider audit team
- Building an understanding of clients’ businesses, systems and financial processes
- Supporting senior team members with more complex audit areas
- Communicating audit findings and raising issues with senior colleagues
- Managing your own workload and meeting agreed deadlines
- Developing strong technical knowledge across audit, accounting and relevant regulations
- Continuing to work towards professional qualifications where applicable

About You
We are interested in hearing from candidates who have:
- Previous experience working within audit, ideally within an accountancy practice
- Experience gained as an ACA trainee, ACA student or part-qualified accountant
- A genuine interest in continuing a career within audit and accountancy
- Strong academic and/or professional credentials
- Good attention to detail and an analytical approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive and professional approach to client work
- A commitment to continuing your professional development

You do not need to have completed your ACA. We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their training and qualification journey, providing they have been exited for either exam criteria or redundancy.
