About The Post
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Academic Administrator to join our Academic Administration team. This varied and rewarding role supports the delivery of courses across the University, helping to ensure an excellent student experience and the smooth administration of academic processes.
Working closely with academic staff and professional service colleagues, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a portfolio of courses, supporting key activities including assessment administration, examinations, quality assurance processes, and student engagement activities. You will act as a key point of contact for students throughout their academic journey, offering guidance and signposting to appropriate support services when required.

About The Team
The Academic Administration team plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of learning and teaching across the University. The team works in partnership with academic colleagues and professional service departments to ensure students receive a high-quality experience from enrolment through to graduation.
As part of a collaborative and supportive environment, the team is responsible for a wide range of academic administration activities, including assessments, examinations, quality assurance processes, student engagement, records management, and pastoral support.
About You
- Experience of providing administrative support within a complex organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrates confidence and professional assertiveness, constructively challenging decisions, practices, or viewpoints when appropriate, across all levels of the institution.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner.
- Ability to organise and coordinate a diverse workload with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and service requirements.
- Experience of managing data, records, and reporting activities with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience of servicing meetings, preparing documentation, and producing minutes.
- Knowledge of, or an interest in developing an understanding of, Higher Education administration and regulations.
- Competency with digital systems and tools, and a willingness to learn University platforms and processes.
