About The Role

For this ACF we are seeking an enthusiastic candidate interested in research areas of trauma-related orthopaedic infection. The successful candidate will undertake academic training alongside their higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics, with 25% of their training time dedicated to research. They will receive supervision from experienced academic clinicians and researchers at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a themed ACF post in Prevention and Public Health. The academic component of the programme will focus on research aligned with this theme, with opportunities to develop a research portfolio addressing important public health challenges within Trauma & Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research programmes and develop skills in clinical academic practice while completing higher specialty training.
