About the Team:

The SRUC Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) is dedicated to improving the quality of learning and teaching at Scotland’s Rural College. The centre focuses on enhancing student experience through professional development, pedagogical innovation, and curriculum enhancement. The centre supports the effective use of digital tools and platforms in teaching and learning, aiming to create engaging and inclusive educational environments. It also supports robust student voice mechanisms, ensuring that students are partners in their learning experience.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and enhancing the student experience at SRUC.

Working closely with the Academic Enhancement Lead, this role supports the enhancement of learning, teaching, and the overall student experience across SRUC by contributing to staff development initiatives that nurture, incubate, and promote innovative pedagogical practices at all levels of the organisation.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, the post holder will support student engagement and student voice activities, helping to drive improvements in student satisfaction and educational outcomes.

The role also contributes to Academic Enhancement projects and professional networks, supporting continuous quality improvement and the sharing of effective practice. Additionally, the post holder will help facilitate the dissemination of knowledge, innovation, and best practice both within SRUC and across external educational and professional communities, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications required for this role are a bachelor's degree (SCQF Level 9) or a professional qualification supported by equivalent experience, together with a recognised teaching qualification or professional recognition such as Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA).
