Job Description:

Main duties and responsibilities

We are seeking an Academic Quality Policy Manager to lead on the development and maintenance of the University’s Academic Quality Framework, inclusive of its academic quality policies, processes and regulations.

Directorate

The role sits within the Academic Quality Services team, which is part of the Registry Services directorate, alongside Apprenticeships and Technical Education Services, Student Casework Services, Student Journey Services, and Student Records Services.

Role

The Academic Quality Policy Manager is responsible for leading on the strategic development of academic quality policy, processes and regulations for the University, ensuring that the University has robust processes to ensure academic standards are maintained, and that academic regulations and policy are consistent and aligned with regulatory requirements and sector best practice.

We are seeking a candidate with experience of working in a regulatory environment and academic quality assurance, including experience of developing quality assurance regulations, policies and procedures aligned to regulatory requirements and sector best practice.

  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You will be able to effectively communicate and advise on complex regulatory matters for a wide variety of audiences
  • You will demonstrate an ability to confidently challenge and influence others
  • You will be committed to supporting the delivery of an excellent student experience

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent).
