Job Description
Leeds Business School is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Academic Services Team Leader to join our team. This hybrid role is based partly at our City Campus and partly from home.
Managing our undergraduate student administration team, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the team ensuring delivery of excellent on-course support for students throughout their student journey. You will be working closely with academic colleagues, especially Course Directors and Heads of Subject, to ensure that they receive appropriate administrative support.
This is a varied role that combines analytical, administrative, line-management and student-facing responsibilities. You will be confident managing staff with empathy, working with data, maintaining accurate records and using insight to guide your work, while also building positive relationships with your team, school colleagues and the wider university regular communication and support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
