Academic Support Coach
Chippenham
£21,486 rising to £21,740 per year (Full time equivalent £24,619 - £24,910 per year)

As an Academic Support Coach at Wiltshire College & University Centre, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering learners to overcome challenges, develop independent study skills, and achieve their educational goals. Whether you already have experience supporting learners or are eager to bring your coaching, mentoring, or support skills into education, you'll be helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
What We Offer
- Salary: £21,486 rising to £21,740 per year (Full time equivalent £24,619 - £24,910 per year)
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+2 weeks per year
- Year-Round Employment: No unpaid breaks

What You'll Do
- Provide personalised academic and pastoral support to students
- Help learners develop study habits, organisational skills, and confidence
- Work closely with teaching teams to ensure students stay engaged and on track
- Support young people and adults with a range of needs in and out of the classroom
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
What You'll Bring
- Experience working with learners or supporting individuals (education, youth work, care, mentoring, coaching all welcome)
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed
- Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting diverse learners
Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential what matters most is your dedication to making a difference.
