Academic Team Manager
Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for legal education, curriculum delivery and student success? The College of Legal Practice is seeking an Academic Team Manager to join our Academic Team.
In this senior role, you will lead and manage a team of Module Leaders, Success Supervisors, external supervisors and subject matter experts, ensuring the successful delivery of our programmes and an outstanding student experience. Working closely with colleagues across the College, you will oversee curriculum delivery, support teaching excellence, drive continuous improvement and help shape the future development of our SQE preparation and legal education programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in legal education or professional legal training who enjoys leading teams, developing people and delivering high-quality learning outcomes in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
About You:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent experience in legal practice or legal education.
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or a comparable qualification.
- Relevant ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience managing people, including both employees and consultants.
- Experience managing the delivery and development of curriculum within the legal services sector in England and Wales.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory framework for solicitor training and qualification.
- Experience establishing, developing and leading effective operational teams.
- Experience managing projects, budgets and resource planning.
- Understanding of governance processes and reporting to committees and panels.
- Experience developing innovative and agile approaches to teaching, learning and programme delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to apply best-practice HR principles.
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively across teams.
- Ability to work remotely in a distraction-free environment with a reliable internet connection.
- Willingness to support occasional out-of-hours operational activity where required (with TOIL arrangements).

Job Details:
- Location: Remote (UK-based)
- Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
- Salary: £60,000 per annum
