Location: Leicester City Women's Academy & Various Locations Across the UK

Leicester City Women's Academy is looking for reliable, professional, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Casual Mini Bus Drivers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role behind the scenes in supporting the development of the next generation of female footballers. As part of our Academy Operations team, you will help ensure players travel safely and comfortably to training, education, fixtures, and other Academy activities.
More than just a driving role, this position places you at the heart of the Academy environment, providing a positive and professional experience for players, parents, and staff while representing Leicester City Women.
About The Role
As a Women's Academy Mini Bus Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for Academy players throughout the season.
Working closely with the Academy Transport and Administration Teams, you will support a range of transport requirements, including school runs, training sessions, and matchday travel. The role requires flexibility, as hours will primarily be available during evenings, weekends, and school holiday periods.
What You'll Be Doing
Transport and Player Support
- Safely transport Academy players to and from predetermined collection points.
- Drive players and staff to training sessions, fixtures, and Academy events.
- Ensure all passengers travel in a safe, professional, and comfortable environment.
- Act as a positive ambassador for Leicester City Women during all journeys.
Vehicle Maintenance and Compliance
- Carry out regular visual checks of vehicle tyres, lights, oil, water, and fuel levels.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, presentable, and maintained to a high standard.
- Complete weekly cleaning of the minibus, both internally and externally.
- Ensure safety signage within vehicles remains visible and in good condition.
- Refuel vehicles as required.
- Adhere to all Club transport, health and safety, and operating procedures.

Teamwork and Professionalism
- Work collaboratively with Academy administration and transport colleagues.
- Provide cover for absent colleagues when required.
- Build professional relationships with players, parents, and Academy staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of conduct, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Essential Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid driving licence with:
- D1 Unrestricted entitlement, or
- PCV Licence, or
- D1 Restricted entitlement (car licence obtained prior to 1 January 1997).
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- Excellent reliability and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with young people, parents, and staff.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate or willingness to complete within three months.
- FA First Aid Certificate or willingness to complete the qualification.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a driving, transport, education, or sporting environment.
- Experience working with children and young people.

Additional Information
- Casual hours will be available throughout the season based on operational requirements.
- Evening, weekend, matchday, and Public Holiday availability is essential.
- Successful applicants must undertake all mandatory Club training, including Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, and GDPR awareness.
- This role is subject to a satisfactory FA Enhanced DBS Check.
- Applicants must be able to travel independently to Academy and collection locations.

About The Club
Knowing some of the history of LCFCW helps you appreciate the sense of community, spirit and family for which the Club are renowned for.
In May 2021, LCFC Women were promoted to the FA Women’s Super League. From its formation in 2004, the Club was run on an amateur and semi-professional basis with support from Leicester City Football Club. In August 2020, the Club turned professional after being acquired by King Power International – Leicester City’s parent company – and realigned as a core team in Leicester City’s football operation.
