About the role
As Academy Goalkeeper Scout Analyst, you will identify, assess and monitor emerging goalkeeper talent across the UK and Europe through live and video-based scouting. The role will provide comprehensive technical, tactical, physical, psychological, video and data analysis to support recruitment decision-making and the Club’s long-term talent strategy.
Working within Academy Recruitment, you will produce evidence-based player recommendations, maintain detailed player profiles and support scouting discussions through video, data and reporting insight.
What you’ll do
- Identify and assess Academy goalkeeper talent across the UK and Europe through live match attendance and video-based scouting.
- Provide objective recommendations on player suitability against the Club’s recruitment strategy, playing philosophy and positional requirements.
- Monitor identified target goalkeepers through multiple viewings to assess consistency, progression and long-term potential.
- Build and maintain detailed player profiles incorporating scouting observations, video analysis and performance data.
- Create video packages and presentation materials to support recruitment discussions and player recommendations.
- Analyse goalkeeper performance data and combine this insight with live and video scouting assessments.
- Maintain accurate records within scouting databases, recruitment platforms and departmental reporting systems.
- Identify recruitment opportunities, succession planning options and emerging talent across designated territories and age groups.
- Work closely with Academy Recruitment colleagues to produce reports and evidence-based clips aligned with the recruitment strategy.
- Develop specialist knowledge of goalkeeper performance trends, player pathways and recruitment markets across the UK and Europe.
- Represent the Club professionally when attending fixtures, tournaments and industry events.
- Support wider recruitment projects and strategic talent identification work as required.
