The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Academy as a Specialist Academy Trainer, delivering a high-quality learning experience to new Partners and Financial Advisers. You will play a key role in developing the skills, knowledge and capabilities of individuals through a blended approach of face-to-face, virtual and peer-led learning. Working as part of a collaborative training team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the Academy curriculum, ensuring that learning solutions remain relevant, engaging and aligned to business priorities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys developing others and making a tangible impact on professional performance and capability.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an engaging and enthusiastic individual with experience working within the financial services industry. You will have attained the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services or be actively working towards achieving this qualification. Passionate about helping others succeed and confident in delivering learning solutions that support both personal and professional development. Experience of providing financial advice or training and developing new Financial Advisers would be particularly beneficial.

  • You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to balance competing priorities will be key to success in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver high-quality training interventions through face-to-face, virtual and peer-led learning formats.
  • Facilitate learning across the Academy curriculum, adapting delivery to meet changing business needs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of training content and deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify development needs and support the design of effective learning solutions.
  • Conduct skills assessments for Partners and Financial Advisers, providing constructive feedback and coaching against required standards.
  • Lead training-related projects from proposal and design through to delivery and evaluation.
  • Provide one-to-one technical consultancy and support where required.
  • Maintain strong business and technical knowledge across products, regulation, compliance and advisory practices.
  • Host webinars, learning events and digital learning sessions.
  • Monitor learner engagement and training effectiveness, supporting the continuous improvement of the Academy offering.

Essential skills

  • Experience working within the financial services industry.
  • Attained the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services or currently working towards achieving this qualification.
  • Experience in training delivery, facilitation or learning and development within financial services, or the ability to transfer relevant skills into a training-focused role.
  • Strong presentation, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence a variety of audiences.
  • Good understanding of financial services, including regulation, products and advisory practices.

Desirable skills

  • Experience providing financial advice within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Experience training, coaching or developing new Financial Advisers.
  • Professional Learning and Development qualification, such as CIPD or TAP.
  • Experience in adviser development, supervision or coaching within financial services.
  • Experience designing or contributing to learning programmes, training materials or curriculum development.

Special Requirements

Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will need to have the ability to travel across the UK to delivery training as required.
