About the Company
A well-established boutique accountancy practice based in London, supporting individuals, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses with a range of accounting, tax, and business advisory services.
The firm prides itself on providing a personal, high-quality service and building long-term relationships with its clients.
They are now looking for an experienced ACCA Senior Accountant to join the team and take ownership of a varied client portfolio.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing position where you’ll manage accounts and tax work from start to finish, work directly with clients, and support junior team members.
You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work while developing your technical and commercial experience within a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact
- Prepare and review year-end accounts and financial statements
- Prepare and review corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Handle VAT returns and related compliance work
- Review bookkeeping and accounting records
- Review junior team members’ work and provide guidance and feedback
- Respond to client queries and provide day-to-day accounting support
- Liaise with HMRC and Companies House where required
- Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities
- Support new client onboarding and accounting processes
- Work with cloud accounting software and improve processes where possible

About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys client interaction, and has strong experience within a UK accountancy practice.
Ideally, you will have:
- ACCA qualified status or equivalent
- Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Ideally 3+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience managing your own client portfolio
- Strong knowledge of UK accounts, corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior accountants
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good commercial awareness and a proactive approach
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
- Strong Excel skills
