Make your mark for patients
We are looking for an Access & Pricing Strategy Lead who is strategic, influential, and collaborative to join our Global Patient Evidence organisation, helping shape integrated payer, pricing, and access strategies that maximize patient access and long-term value across UCB's portfolio based in Slough, UK or Brussels, Belgium.
About the Role
As Access & Pricing Strategy Lead, you will play a critical role in translating payer, policy, evidence, pricing, and access considerations into actionable strategic choices and global deliverables that support asset success throughout the product lifecycle.
Acting as a strategic partner to Asset Payer Heads, you will help shape payer strategies, influence key development and commercialization decisions, and ensure payer perspectives are embedded early and consistently. Working within a complex global environment, you will lead through influence rather than formal authority, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared priorities while driving decision-ready recommendations and high-quality execution.
This role offers a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of payer strategy, market access, evidence generation, pricing, and portfolio decision-making.
Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate closely with Asset Payer Heads, HEOR, Real-World Evidence, Pricing, Policy, Market Access, Patient Impact, Commercial Planning, regional and local market access teams, and a broad network of cross-functional stakeholders.
You will act as a key connector across the organization, ensuring payer insights and access considerations are integrated into strategic planning and decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Asset Payer Heads to co-create global payer, access, and pricing strategies and global deliverables.
- Lead the development and execution of payer strategies, evidence generation plans, pricing approaches, negotiation readiness activities, and key global deliverables.
- Maximize asset payer potential by shaping clinical development plans and identifying payer risks and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and oversee competitive evidence generation strategies that support payer and reimbursement objectives.
- Define global access strategies and provide clarity on strategic trade-offs, dependencies, and decision points.
- Lead strategic payer engagements and translate external insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Present payer perspectives and strategic recommendations within leadership and governance forums.
- Define payer workstreams, budgets, resource requirements, and long-range planning priorities.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across Market Access, Pricing, HEOR, RWE, Policy, Commercial, and regional teams.
- Build alignment across stakeholders and drive decisions through influence, credibility, and strategic leadership.
- Leverage advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and external market intelligence to anticipate future access risks and opportunities.
- Foster collaboration, continuous learning, and capability building across the Access & Pricing community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
