Are you a creative Accessories Product Designer with a strong eye for trend, colour and commercial product?

Working with a market leader in the supply of essential wear to global retailers, who are looking to add a talented Socks/Hosiery Designer to their Design & Development team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer who loves creating commercial, trend-led product and wants the freedom and responsibility to take designs from initial concept through to development and production.

You’ll become a key design expert across your allocated brands and product areas, developing exciting new sock/hosiery ranges that meet customer, brand and commercial requirements.

Your role will include:

  • Researching emerging trends across product, colour, fabric, packaging and technology
  • Creating and presenting trend & design boards for seasonal ranges and key brands
  • Designing and developing commercial socks ranges from initial briefs through to approved product
  • Sourcing new products and identifying opportunities to develop and grow ranges
  • Attending customer meetings and presenting seasonal ranges, new products and developments
  • Producing technical specifications and patterns, ensuring designs meet supplier and production requirements
  • Working closely with suppliers and technical teams throughout the development process
  • Reviewing samples and providing clear feedback and approvals
  • Managing sampling and developments against critical paths and key customer deadlines
  • Supporting the development and approval of new packaging

You’ll work closely with the Design Director, Product Development Manager, technical teams, suppliers and customers to bring commercially strong product to market.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience designing socks / hosiery with an updated portfolio to showcase your work
  • A strong understanding of fashion trends, colour, shape and product development
  • The ability to take a brief and develop a commercially relevant product range
  • Strong technical understanding, including specifications and construction
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence presenting ideas and ranges to customers
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships
  • The ability to manage multiple developments and deadlines
