Accommodation Housekeeper

Contract Type: Full-Time

Location: Chirk, Nr Wrexham, North Wales

Are you passionate about creating a welcoming, safe, and well-managed living environment? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where organisation, attention to detail, and excellent customer service make a real difference? If so, our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to join their on-site accommodation team.

Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of wood-based panels and decorative surfaces. Their melamine-faced boards, HPL, compact and lacquered panels are used every day in furniture, interiors, and construction projects around the globe.

As part of their global organisation, you will play a key role in ensuring their accommodation facilities provide a comfortable, safe, and high-quality living experience for employees and contractors. Working closely with the wider team, you will help ensure rooms and communal areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Job Description

  • Clean and maintain bedrooms and communal areas across the 24-bedroom facility to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, hygienic, and well-presented.
  • Carry out all laundry duties, including the collection, washing, drying, ironing, and distribution of bedding and towels, maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
  • Prepare rooms for new arrivals and turn over rooms following check-outs.
  • Replenish supplies such as toiletries, linen, and cleaning materials as required.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or repairs needed.
  • Follow all accommodation policies, procedures, and house rules.
  • Assist with room inspections and general upkeep of the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, fire safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist with stock checks of cleaning materials, linen, and consumable supplies.
  • Provide occasional support to other accommodation properties across the estate as required.

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar hospitality / residential role is essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and pride in producing a clean, well-presented environment.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks to a consistent standard.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety, fire safety, and hygiene requirements.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to support other accommodation sites when required.
