Accommodation Lead

The ideal applicant for this role will have previous experience in housekeeping or accommodation services, along with the ability to lead and support a team. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills and a hands-on approach, while taking pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home.

Duties Include:

• Leading and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping and accommodation team.
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation is maintained throughout the home for the comfort, enjoyment and safety of our residents.
• Organising and allocating daily housekeeping duties and ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard.
• Supporting, guiding and motivating housekeeping staff in their day-to-day duties.
• Carrying out regular checks of residents' rooms and communal areas to ensure standards are maintained.
• Ensuring residents' rooms and communal areas are cleaned and maintained appropriately.
• Monitoring stock levels of cleaning products, laundry supplies and other consumables and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
• Assisting with ordering and stock control as required.
• Supporting effective waste management and ensuring appropriate procedures are followed.
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately.
• Ensuring safe working practices, infection prevention & control procedures and relevant policies are adhered to.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or areas requiring attention to the appropriate person.
• Working closely with nursing, care and management teams to ensure the accommodation needs of residents are met.
• Supporting the induction and training of new housekeeping staff.
• Promoting a positive, respectful and supportive team culture.
