Are you looking for a role in a supportive and proactive team that works collaboratively with multiple University departments and external accommodation providers to deliver an excellent student experience?
Applications are invited for the role of Accommodation Officer based in Accommodation Services, part of the Student Living team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our front-facing team delivering excellent customer service to our students, processing student accommodation bookings delivering our Book with confidence guarantee, as well as assisting in the arrival and post arrival student experience. You will also be responsible for attending our University Open Days and Student Experience Days representing the department and our portfolio of accommodation.
Candidates should be qualified to HNC or HND level (or equivalent) with experience in a relevant role/s or have proven relevant experience. Excellent communication and relationship management skills will be crucial as you will collaborate with both internal University departments and external accommodation providers, proactively engaging all stakeholders. We are looking for self-motivated candidates who work well in a team, and have excellent communication, IT, and planning skills.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
The position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week) mainly worked between 9.00am-5.15pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to work occasional weekends to cover University Events. Job share arrangements may be considered.
