YMCA Trinity Group - Accommodation

‘Inspiring communities, transforming young lives’

Job Reference - APW-PET-0826

Location

  • Time Stop, 101 Wellington St, Peterborough, PE1 5DU
  • The Cresset, Bretton Centre, Peterborough PE3 8DX

About The Role

A rewarding role where you can help to make a positive difference to a young person’s life.

At our Peterborough sites, we currently offer two types of accommodation, each tailored to meet different local needs. While both provide the same essential support services, they are set within unique environments, offering access to a variety of on-site and nearby facilities to help young people thrive and grow in independence.

As an Accommodation Project Worker, you’ll help young people build the skills they need to live independently, offering support through personalised plans, key working, and life skills coaching. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming space where residents feel at home, while also pitching in with the day-to-day running of the service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable manner and a focus on excellent face-to-face support.
  • A clear understanding of confidentiality and the importance of professional boundaries.
  • Able to work in a respectful, non-judgemental, and inclusive way.
  • Confident and positive when engaging with young people, building trust and rapport.
  • Stays calm and focused under pressure, even in challenging situations.
  • Comfortable using computers and digital tools in day-to-day tasks.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support others.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
