We are looking for enthusiastic, approachable, student-focused individuals to join our Front-of-House team. You’ll be one of the first faces our students meet — and one of the friendly, solution-focused people they rely on throughout their residential journey.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Accommodation Services Assistant, you’ll help us deliver a 24/7 reception service and support the smooth running of our accommodation operations. Every day will be different, and you’ll play a vital part in making our halls safe, welcoming, and supportive.

You Will
- Provide a warm, helpful, knowledgeable reception service to students, parents, staff, visitors, and guests.
- Be a positive ambassador for the University — friendly, calm, and confident when resolving queries.
- Support student wellbeing by carrying out wellbeing checks where required.
- Assist with post handling, enquiries, administration, and database updates.
- Support arrivals, departures, open days, enrolment events, and other key moments in the student journey.
- Work with colleagues across the wider Accommodation Services and Commercial & Campus Services teams.
- Participate in fire watch duties and support our safety processes.

You’ll Bring
- Excellent customer service experience in a busy, front-facing environment.
- A warm, approachable, and diplomatic manner.
- The ability to stay calm, patient, and helpful in unexpected or challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills and great attention to detail.
- Confidence using IT systems and learning new processes.
- A genuine commitment to supporting students and enhancing their residential experience.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends as part of our rota.
