Company Description
Killeavy Castle Estate is a luxury destination set on 360 acres of countryside near Newry, Co. Armagh. Opened in 2019 following a significant investment in its restoration and development, the Estate offers diverse accommodation options, including a fully restored 19th-century castle, a 45-bedroom boutique hotel, and charming self-catering accommodation options.
Sustainability is central to the Estate’s ethos, with initiatives like a single-use plastic policy, efficient energy systems, a productive walled garden, and a working farm that supplies estate-reared beef and lamb, all supported by a culture of continuous improvement.
We are conveniently located 10 minutes from Newry and about one hour from Belfast and Dublin airports, attracting both local and international visitors.
We do have the option of near-site staff accommodation for any potential candidates, this can be discussed at the recruitment stage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
