About The Role
The Accommodation Porter position, based in Edinburgh, supports a student housing provider during the busy Freshers’ Week period. Check-In Runner – Student Accommodation
📍 Location: Edinburgh
💰 Pay: £14.00 per hour
📅 Shift times: 9-5pm (weekend work)
Pertemps are recruiting Check-In Runners to support a student accommodation provider during the busy Freshers’ Week period.
The Role
You will be helping new students move into their accommodation and making sure they have a smooth and welcoming arrival.
Duties will include:
- Helping students carry suitcases and luggage to their rooms
- Assisting with the check-in process
- Providing keys/access cards and basic information
- Directing students around the accommodation
- Answering straightforward queries and providing assistance
- Supporting the accommodation team during busy arrival periods
- Carrying luggage up stairs where required

About You
- Friendly, approachable and confident dealing with people
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a busy environment
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying suitcases
- Comfortable climbing stairs when required
- Good communication skills
