Accounts Assistant | Horwich | £31-33k | Permanent

The Role

Trostan Dene are supporting a growing service provider in Horwich in finding an Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in delivering accurate reporting and valuable commercial insights across their network of locations.

This is an exciting role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end accounts payable process ensuring invoices are processed & paid on a timely basis
  • Matching purchase orders to invoices resolving any discrepancies where required
  • Prepare and process payments runs in line with deadlines
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Supporting the Management Accountant with month-end responsibilities such as reconciliations of bank, accruals, prepayments
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of DD income on a weekly basis
  • Assisting with sales ledger and raising invoices
  • Process and pay expenses monthly ensuring compliance with internal policies
  • Monthly reconciliation of corporate card transactions
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ad-hoc projects to assist Head of Finance to make commercial/strategic decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in an accounts assistant/AP role (or equivalent) role, ideally within an SME
  • Ideally working towards a relevant qualification such as AAT
  • Experience in a fast-paced business environment
  • Confident and strong communication skills/ability to build strong relationships
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail and accuracy

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £31,000 - £33,000
  • Hybrid working (1 day from home) after probationary period
  • Working hours 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours)
  • 31 days holiday including bank holiday allowance
