We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in accounts who is looking to develop their skills, take on greater responsibility and build a long-term career within finance.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are ambitious and looking to progress towards becoming a qualified accountant.
Whether you are already studying towards an AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or are looking to begin your accountancy studies, Tuckers is committed to supporting the right candidate with their professional development.
We will provide support and encouragement to help you work towards your chosen accountancy qualification, alongside gaining valuable practical experience within a growing and professionally managed Finance function.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Finance team with a range of day-to-day accounting and financial responsibilities, including:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing payments and receipts
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Posting journals and maintaining ledgers
- Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
- Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies
- Providing financial information to internal departments
- Supporting the wider Finance team with general accounting and administrative duties
- Assisting with finance projects and process improvements as the business continues to grow
About You
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Has a genuine ambition to progress within accountancy
- Is interested in working towards a professional accountancy qualification
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
- Is confident using Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Has good numerical and analytical skills
- Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Can work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
- Has a professional and proactive approach
- Is keen to learn, develop and take on additional responsibility
