Account Broker

Location: Birmingham (On-site)

Package: £Negotiable + Benefits

Brown & Brown is hiring an Account Broker (Trade Credit) to join a large and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Insurance professional to develop their career, working for one of the fastest growing brokerages in the industry.

About the Role

This role is designed to provide office-based support for Account Managers. Day-to-day point of contact for clients in relation to basic policy administration – duties to include support with credit limits, policy documentation, overdue accounts, claims, declarations of turnover, accounting queries, processing of no claims/low claims bonuses, etc.

The Day to Day

  • Supporting/advising clients with credit limit applications, appeals, and monitoring progress of these
  • Advising clients in relation to declarations of turnover and submission of these as appropriate
  • Support for clients in relation to accounting queries – premium payments, policy adjustments, etc.
  • Support for colleagues in relation to management of renewal negotiations
  • Undertake discussions with underwriters, as appropriate, in relation to all of the above
  • Establishing and maintaining client records in hard copy files and Goldmine database

About You

  • Ideally have trade credit experience, however full training will be provided
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a small team
  • Good communication skills and customer-focused
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • A wider skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, sales, and IT Skills
