Job Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, timely customer service to existing European customers, ensuring a smooth transition from initial enquiry through to product delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams in the UK and globally to support quotations, order handling, logistics, customer enquiries for a variety of products, and compliance with company procedures.
- This role suits someone with strong organisational skills and who takes pride in getting the details right – from the first enquiry through to the delivered product.
- Act as the key point of contact for customers and internal teams.
- Complete accurate manual data entry and various administrative tasks, including order entry and quotations, involving multi-step calculations.
- Review customer orders, terms and conditions, drawings and specs, ensuring that all customer requests and requirements are communicated to the relevant departments during the quotation and order entry process.
- Follow up quotations with customers.
- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues.
- Maintain a strong understanding of order fulfilment and delivery processes, coordinating with internal teams to monitor dispatch dates, track shipments, manage delivery documentation and support the resolution of customer delivery queries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensuring that all relevant documentation and company systems are up to date.
- Provide professional customer contact by email or phone, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Be vigilant of deficiencies in business operations and pass on any unresolved or continuing issues and recommendations to the Inside Sales Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements
- Preferred 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, and evidence of suitable experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in business-to-business customer service, sales administration or inside sales, including quotations, order processing and customer account support.
- Highly accurate manual order, quotation and data entry skills, with the ability to work productively and efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to confidently work with multi-step calculations, mathematical formulas and weight conversions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with customers, representatives and colleagues from varied backgrounds and European countries.
- Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn company systems and procedures.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, colleagues, partner organisations, and staff at all levels.
- Any European language is desirable but not essential.
- Organised, analytical, and detail focused.
- Reliable, punctual and accountable.
- Proactive in managing role responsibilities.
- Flexible and calm under pressure.
- Comfortable managing strict deadlines, multiple priorities, and changing circumstances.
- Enthusiastic, committed, and team oriented.
- Confident, professional, and personable.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours to respond to business needs.
