This is the job
As a Account Development Director (f/m/x), you drive large-scale enterprise farming across 1–2 highly strategic accounts in the manufacturing sector within the DACH region. You own strategic account plans and the end-to-end sales cycle, collaborating closely with Consulting, Pre-Sales, and Delivery teams at local and global levels. Your focus is to expand and deepen long-term partnerships with one anchor account, with the option to add one more. You translate client challenges into high-impact, service-oriented IT solutions, including nearshore delivery models. This is a strategic farming role, not a hunting role. You are based in Germany, Switzerland, or the UK (remote/hybrid) and are willing to travel within the DACH region.
This is you
- You are a proven Enterprise Farmer with a strong track record of growing large, strategic accounts in manufacturing.
- You have a well-established network in the manufacturing industry.
- You excel at selling IT services, are tech-savvy, and focus on delighting clients with service- and value-oriented solutions.
- You are confident working with nearshore delivery models.
- You are experienced with tenders/RFIs/RFPs and negotiating with complex buying centers.
- You proactively approach new stakeholders and lines of business, accurately identify their challenges, and stay motivated even when facing setbacks.
- You are empathetic, open-minded, and a clear, confident communicator and presenter.
- You work independently, are flexible, think outside the box, and act entrepreneurially.
- You are fluent in German and English for client-facing work.
- Nice-to-have skills: A strong network in the automotive and transport industry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
