Join Smollan and lead our brand new partnership with Vinarchy Wines, representing some of the UK's most recognisable wine brands, including Jacob's Creek, Hardys, Campo Viejo and Jam Shed.
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive salary + bonus + company car/or car allowance
Working: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Location: Field Based: Central/South UK: frequent travel to Winnersh and Weybridge

We're building a brand-new field sales team for Vinarchy Wines, and we're looking for an experienced Account Director to lead the partnership from the very beginning.
You'll own the senior client relationship, lead and develop a field sales team of six and take responsibility for the commercial performance of the account.
You'll also play a key role in growing the partnership – using insight, performance and your understanding of the client's business to demonstrate value, identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.
What you'll be doing
- Build and develop a trusted, strategic partnership with Vinarchy
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing field sales team of six
- Translate client objectives into clear account and field strategies
- Own the account P&L, budgets, forecasting and commercial performance
- Use data and insight to demonstrate ROI and drive better business decisions
- Identify opportunities to grow and develop the existing partnership
- Work collaboratively across Smollan to bring new ideas and solutions to the client
- Ensure consistently high standards of field execution and account delivery

What we're looking for
- Senior Account Management or Account Director experience within FMCG, field marketing, grocery or a related environment
- Strong experience of building and managing senior client relationships
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Commercial experience including P&L, budgeting, forecasting and profitability
- A track record of identifying and developing growth opportunities within client accounts
- Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills
- Good understanding of the grocery/FMCG landscape
- Experience within drinks, alcohol or wine would be a real advantage, but isn't essential
