The Role
As an Account Director, you will provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for a major global brand account within our portfolio. You will be responsible for creating a culture that produces category-defining work, aligning the creative output and messaging with a dynamic, AI-driven media strategy. You will own key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring that our insights, strategic recommendations, and creative campaigns are consistently gold-standard, exceeding client expectations and driving a modern luxury vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of global campaigns, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and set a new standard for creative excellence.
- Partner with Strategy and Creative Leads to develop and evolve brand and communications strategy, driving 'idea-led' solutions that leverage AI and reflect modern luxury marketing.
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key clients, building an excellent rapport based on a deep understanding of their business challenges and opportunities.
- Provide leadership in the creative production process, championing the integration of AI and technology to ensure best-in-class, efficient delivery across all touchpoints.
- Oversee the operational and financial performance of the brand team, with a sharp focus on driving strong income and margin performance and making key decisions on team resourcing.
- Lead, inspire, and nurture a team of Client Service professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Establish and embed new, agile ways of working, utilising the WPP Open platform to drive effectiveness and deliver hyper-personalised, immersive experiences.
Key Skills
- Client Leadership. A proven track record of leading major global accounts, ideally within the automotive or luxury sectors, with extensive integrated marketing experience.
- Strategic & Commercial Acumen. The ability to own and develop insightful brand strategies that drive business growth, demonstrating a sharp, commercially-focused mindset to solve complex client challenges.
- Team Leadership & Development. An exceptional ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams to foster a positive, high-performing culture.
- Innovation & AI Fluency. A deep curiosity and practical understanding of how to leverage emerging technologies, particularly AI, to drive creative innovation, strategic advantage, and operational efficiency.
- Financial & Operational Management. Strong financial acumen and operational expertise, with a clear focus on managing account profitability, optimising resources, and driving agency efficiency.
- Modern Marketing & Digital Fluency. A forward-thinking mindset that embraces creative innovation, coupled with a deep understanding of the modern digital, social, and content landscape.
- Communication. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently persuade and influence clients and internal stakeholders.
- Integrated Collaboration. A natural collaborator, able to work seamlessly with creative, strategy, media, and data teams to produce truly integrated work.
