Account Director – Warwickshire
Hybrid, 3 x Office Days

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Director EVENTS to join a leading events and communications agency in Warwickshire.
This is a senior client-facing role for someone who combines strong event agency experience, strategic thinking and commercial acumen with the ability to lead teams and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
You’ll work across a portfolio of high-profile client projects, taking responsibility for the strategic direction, delivery and growth of accounts. You’ll be comfortable operating at senior level, discussing event content and strategy with clients and bringing together creative, production, technical and operational teams to deliver outstanding experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a portfolio of client projects, including large-scale and high-budget events.
- Lead and oversee project teams across briefing, supplier management, content development, technical production, logistics and delegate management.
- Attend and oversee events delivered by the account team.
- Lead the development of creative content across digital, film, graphics and other communications.
- Oversee project finances, profitability, margins, forecasting and commercial performance.
- Ensure projects are delivered to high-quality standards, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and efficient processes.
- Manage and allocate internal resources effectively to ensure clients receive the best possible service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, including communication with senior stakeholders at Board and Executive level.
- Develop a deep understanding of client strategy and identify opportunities to grow and strengthen accounts.
- Support new business activity, including pitches, networking and client meetings.
- Develop and implement business development plans to grow existing accounts.
- Ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are in place across projects and events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and activity within the CRM.
- Line manage Senior Account Managers, Project Managers and their teams, providing strong leadership, coaching and performance management.
- Play an active role in the wider company culture, contributing ideas, supporting colleagues and helping create a positive team environment.

About You
You’ll be an experienced Event Account Director or senior event agency professional with a proven track record of managing complex client accounts and delivering high-value events.
You will ideally bring:
- 6–7+ years’ experience within an event production agency environment.
- Experience managing large-budget events; international experience would be advantageous.
- Strong line management and leadership experience.
- Experience developing content and bringing messaging to life within conference and live event environments.
- Experience working with internal communications teams.
- Strong understanding of video production.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- A natural ability to build relationships, influence and network.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, including reporting and forecasting.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate market and client needs.
- Strong resource planning and allocation skills.
- The ability to lead through change and inspire high-performing teams.
- A creative, dynamic and solutions-focused approach.
- The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a wider team.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- A full driving licence and access to a car.
