Account Director
Reporting to COO
Working at equimedia, a digital performance agency, the Account Director is a senior client contact who leads the development and planning of our clients’ digital strategy and oversees all campaign and project execution. You will lead your clients’ agency teams effectively and build great client relationships. You will work to make equimedia a key part of the client’s marketing department and grow each account while safeguarding our profitability.
You are comfortable with data, responsible for leading results analysis, challenging what you see, extracting insights, exploring opportunities for clients, setting targets and monitoring results. You can make the complex, simple, are experienced at identifying opportunities to introduce additional services, and have a proven track record of cross-selling and up-selling to grow client accounts.
You like being hands-on and are well-organised and efficient, and comfortable managing all aspects of our relationship with each client.
With a keen commercial sense, you stay current with digital developments and work closely with colleagues to develop commercial proposals for clients. You take responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and profitability. You are collaborative and work with integrity to achieve the best outcome for equimedia, our team and our clients.

This role does not currently include line management, but if needed in the future, you will have experience of supporting and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Growing client accounts
- Developing proactive, positive relationships with all clients
- Leading client account strategy, planning and forecasting, short, medium and long term
- Leading results data analysis, insight development and opportunity spotting for our client and the agency
- Monitoring the quality of our service delivery, campaign planning and execution
- Ensuring our internal finance control processes and all other processes are followed
- Continuously develop knowledge of what is going on in digital media, the web and society, business and culture in general, and lead research in your clients’ business and markets
- Provide recommendations for our asset development: web site, case studies and social media. Actively participate in our agency’s content development and social media strategy.
- Contribute to new business meetings, help to organise and take part in pitches
- Supporting and developing the skills and expertise of your team when required
Key skills and qualities we are looking for include:

- Experienced digital marketer with strategic digital planning abilities with experience of website development projects, SEO/AEO and CRO projects, knowledge of digital channels and platforms, targeting options, campaign optimisation, results tracking and analysis
- Proven ability to grow client accounts
- Good at building positive client and team relationships
- Analytical approach with strong Excel skills
- Strong commercial sense
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal, and experienced in PowerPoint
- Motivated, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Collaborative leader who motivates and supports others
- Experience of working within a fast-paced agency environment
- Good attention to detail
- Ideally an academic degree, with strong ‘A’ levels or equivalent if not studied to degree level
