Account Director – B2B Marketing - London | Hybrid |
KMK Recruitment is working with an established and highly regarded marketing agency to recruit a super switched on and personable Account Director to join its close knit team.
This is a senior client services role with a strong B2B marketing focus, ideal for an Account Director who is commercially minded, strategically strong and confident managing complex client relationships from initial brief through to strategy, budget, execution and evaluation.
The Role
You will take ownership of a portfolio of B2B client accounts, acting as a trusted strategic partner and senior point of contact. You will be responsible for developing long-term client relationships, providing strategic marketing counsel, identifying opportunities for account growth and ensuring campaigns are delivered successfully, on time and within budget.
B2B marketing agency experience is essential for this role. You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of the B2B landscape and be confident contributing to strategy rather than simply managing delivery. You will have ownership across the full client lifecycle – from taking the initial brief and developing the strategy, through to scoping, budgeting, briefing internal teams, overseeing execution and measuring results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day and strategic client relationship across a portfolio of B2B accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, C-suite and global marketing teams.
- Act as a strategic marketing partner, bringing informed and commercially relevant B2B insight to client conversations.
- Manage projects from initial brief through to strategy, planning, execution and evaluation, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and delivered.
- Develop and oversee integrated B2B marketing strategies across social media, content, digital, websites, influencer activity and paid/organic channels.
- Lead the briefing process from client requirements through to internal strategy and creative teams.
- Oversee creative and strategic delivery, ensuring work is commercially focused, strategically sound and meets client expectations.
- Take full ownership of account budgets and financial management, including forecasting, scoping, estimating, budget tracking and invoicing.
- Manage resources across multidisciplinary strategy, creative, content, media and account teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts, expand services and develop long-term commercial relationships.
- Lead content strategy across client accounts, ensuring activity is aligned with wider business and marketing objectives.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams while maintaining excellent client service and delivery standards.
- Identify and implement improvements to account processes, systems and ways of working.
- Support the conceptual development of campaigns, connecting client objectives, strategy and creative execution.
- Line manage and develop junior members of the account team, providing coaching, mentoring and regular feedback.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
